Nairobi to Masai Mara
Begin your Photography Safari with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or upon arrival at the airport, setting off towards the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. This remarkable destination is one of the last places where wildlife roams freely, just as it has for centuries. As part of the expansive Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is home to the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and their predators provide the perfect setting for capturing breathtaking photographs.
After arriving, enjoy a delicious lunch, then head out on an afternoon game drive to explore the reserve’s stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. From the Big Five to hidden gems in the savannah and forests, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to capture nature’s beauty.
As the sun sets, return to your lodge for a delightful dinner, sharing stories of your day’s photographic adventures under the African sky. Rest up, surrounded by the Mara’s untouched beauty, and get ready for another day full of exploration and unforgettable moments.

Full day Masai Mara
After breakfast, embark on a thrilling migration safari and photography safari with a packed lunch. Capture the Big Five in their natural habitat, including the relaxed cheetahs often seen climbing onto vehicles for better vantage points. The reserve also offers fantastic opportunities for bird photography, with nearly 500 species, including 16 eagle species and the Kori bustard.
In the afternoon, continue your game drive, exploring the savannahs and forests in search of wildlife, with a chance to witness the Great Migration. Return to your lodge for a delightful dinner, reflecting on a day of unforgettable wildlife photography under the African stars.

Masai Mara to Serengeti
After a delightful breakfast, depart from the Masai Mara and begin the next chapter of your Serengeti Migration Safari, journeying towards Tanzania. Travel towards the Isibania border, where you’ll arrive in the afternoon.
Upon completing the border formalities, you’ll transition to a Tanzanian photography safari vehicle and continue your seamless adventure into the renowned Serengeti, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife, marking the start of an unforgettable experience.

North Serengeti
After breakfast at your lodge, embark on an exhilarating photography safari with a picnic lunch, immersing yourself in the incredible Great Migration of Serengeti National Park. In the Wagakuria area, abundant wildlife awaits, including large prides of lions, some up to 30 members strong, as well as various other predators and herbivores, all providing incredible photo opportunities.
From August to October, this region becomes a prime location for witnessing the migration safari, as the Mara River becomes a focal point for the migrating herds. Capture the breathtaking moment when wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross the river, often heading north one day and south a few days later. While witnessing a river crossing can be unpredictable, the unique photo opportunities that arise during this migration are truly unforgettable, offering rare and dramatic wildlife moments for photographers to capture.

North to Central Serengeti
We will embark on a full-day game drive in the Mara area, offering you the opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration. The Wagakuria area is renowned for its high concentration of resident wildlife, and the Mara River plays a pivotal role during this time. There’s a strong chance of seeing the herds cross the river to the north one day and back south a few days later, creating a dramatic spectacle.
Please note that witnessing a river crossing can be quite challenging and often depends on luck. Herds may be seen grazing near the river, only deciding to cross days later. This area is a stunning blend of kopjes, woodlands, riverine vegetation, and open plains, reminiscent of Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Ngorongoro Crater Photography Safari (From Serengeti)
After an early breakfast in Serengeti, we begin our scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, a must-visit destination for wildlife photography. As we journey from Serengeti to Ngorongoro, you’ll witness stunning landscapes transitioning from the vast Serengeti plains to the lush highlands surrounding the crater.
Upon arrival, descend into the crater floor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife, including the Big Five. This unique caldera offers exceptional opportunities for a photography safari, where you can capture spectacular images of predators, herbivores, and the diverse ecosystem.
