2 Days | 1 Night
If you have limited time but still dream of exploring the wild beauty of Tanzania, a 2 Days Tanzania Camping Safari is the perfect choice. Full Itinerary - 2 Days Camping Safari
Day 1 – Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins early in the morning as your guide picks you up from your hotel in Arusha. After a scenic drive through rural landscapes, you’ll arrive at Tarangire National Park, a jewel of northern Tanzania. The park is renowned for its towering baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and diverse wildlife.
During the dry season, Tarangire hosts one of the highest concentrations of elephants in East Africa, along with lions, giraffes, wildebeest, and hundreds of colorful bird species. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s viewpoints, then continue your game drive until late afternoon.
As the sun sets, head to your campsite just outside the park, where tents and sleeping bags await. After dinner prepared by your safari cook, gather around the campfire to share stories before falling asleep to the sounds of the African night.
Day 2 – Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, set off for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Soon, you’ll descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Garden of Eden” for its unmatched biodiversity. This collapsed volcano shelters over 25,000 large animals, including the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, and flamingos.
The crater floor offers some of the best game viewing in Africa, and because the animals are concentrated in one area, you have a high chance of spotting the Big Five within a single game drive. Around midday, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending out of the crater and making your way back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
