Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport & transferred to your accommodation and take some time to rest and acclimate as well as meet your safari guide for a comprehensive briefing on the upcoming adventure.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Depart to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab-studded landscapes. Enjoy a game drive in the park, encountering an array of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, lions, and more. After Lunch drive to nearly Ngorongoro for relaxation, dinner & Overnight.

Ndutu Conservation Area

Following breakfast, our journey will commence towards the Ndutu area nestled within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, an integral component of the Southern Serengeti ecosystem.

Description of Ndutu Area: Lake Ndutu, akin to numerous other rift lakes, possesses alkaline characteristics; nevertheless, its water remains potable and serves as a vital source for a diverse array of local wildlife. During the period from December to April, the vast majority of the wildebeest migration typically converges on the short-grass plains. This region is often teeming with elephant herds, various bird species, and resident game, contributing to its vibrant ecosystem.

Ndutu Conservation Area

Dedicated to a comprehensive day of wildlife observation in the Ndutu area.

Lake Ndutu, akin to other rift lakes, boasts alkaline properties; nevertheless, its water remains potable and sustains a diverse range of local wildlife. From December to April, the short-grass plains host the bulk of the wildebeest migration. This region is typically abundant with elephant herds, various bird species, and resident game, creating a bustling ecosystem.

Ndutu Area to Central Serengeti

Following breakfast in the Ndutu area, embark on a captivating game drive through a diverse array of habitats, including swamps, woodlands, soda lakes, and the iconic Serengeti short grass plains. Here, you’ll have the chance to witness herds of wildebeest and zebras, particularly during a concentrated period from approximately February, lasting about three weeks, when the majority of wildebeest calves are born.

Continuing your adventure with more game viewing, you’ll journey towards Serengeti Central for dinner and overnight. The expansive grasslands offer minimal cover, exposing the young to a variety of predators. Despite this vulnerability, wildebeest calves exhibit remarkable agility, often able to run just minutes after birth, and typically gain enough strength to keep pace with the herd within three days.

Following early breakfast, we’ll set off for a captivating excursion to observe the Ngorongoro Crater. After spending a rewarding four hours exploring its depths, we’ll proceed directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening departure.

Ngorongoro encompasses a sprawling highland region along the eastern stretch of the Great Rift Valley, anchored by the globally acclaimed Ngorongoro Crater. While not classified as a national park in the traditional sense, its establishment was aimed at the preservation of wildlife and other natural assets.
